This year’s NBA offseason has easily been one of the most interesting in a long time. With the Second Apron rule now in full effect, a lot of teams are scrambling to clear cap space just so they can hold on to their core players. The rule is part of the league’s effort to create more parity—and it’s definitely shaking things up.

The NBA season has now concluded, with the OKC Thunder winning the Chip, and since the season's over, you know what that means...FREE AGENCY... and trades. We have seen some teams make some trades already, like the Phoenix Suns trading Kevin Durant, or Desmond Bane getting shipped to Orlando. Even though teams can't sign official contracts yet, they are for sure in talks. This year’s Finals have been nothing short of electric. In Game 1, with everything on the line, Tyrese Haliburton hit a dagger to seal the win for the Pacers—right in OKC’s house. Then in Game 2, SGA and the Thunder responded with a dominant 16-point win. After that, a lot of people figured the Thunder would ride that momentum into Game 3 and take control of the series. Statistically, the Game 3 winner usually goes on to win the whole thing. But this series had other plans.

When you think of players with legendary legacies, you think of guys who battled through injuries, defied pain, and left everything on the court. Players like Kobe Bryant, who famously shot two free throws after tearing his Achilles. Or Steve Nash, who broke his nose in a playoff game against the Spurs and had to be physically pulled out because he refused to sit, despite bleeding all over the floor.

Let’s be honest—no one really expected the Indiana Pacers to make the Finals. Heck, most people didn’t even think they’d make it out of the first round against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. And if you’ve been online at all, you’ve definitely seen the memes—Pascal Siakam sacrificing Victor Oladipo’s knees, or Tyrese Haliburton offering up Jim Irsay (which, let’s be real, probably happened). These Indiana playoff runs have been wild in the best way.
